Transitions Coach

“Change is situational. Transition, on the other hand, is psychological. It is not those events but rather the inner reorientation or self-redefinition that you have to go through in order to incorporate any of those changes into your life. Without a transition, a change is just a rearrangement of the furniture. Unless transition happens, the change won’t work.” William Bridges

ABOUT Jim
My passion is to develop and assist a team to achieve not only the mission set before them, but to achieve it while maintaining the triple-bottom line. I joined the College of the Ozarks in June of 2014, bringing with me 30 years of experience in leadership development, guest excellence, client/vocational advising, and managerial knowledge from the corporate, non-profit, and private sectors of the business world. I earned my undergraduate degree in Broadcast and Film at the University of Central Missouri and stepped into a corporate management role in the Theme Park business. I meet my wife, Jennifer, and we were the owners/operators of a resort/retreat center for over 15 years. We have two boys, who are married and have blessed us with two granddaughters and one grandson. I have mentored college aged students in premarital and vocational counseling plus spiritual formation for the past 20 years.
